Without A Sound
By Wendy Ricci

The snow has fallen to the ground
However so softly and without a sound
As white as can be, what a pretty sight
The snow fell as I slept last night
I woke in the morning and what did I see?
We had gotten more than predicted to be
So I watched as the snow glittered all day
(And) wondered if more was coming my way
Then the newscaster announced, “You better take care.”
“For there is a snowstorm in the area here.”
So I boiled some water to have some tea
(And) watched as the snow fell on the tree
It fell so softly and stuck instantly
The tree swayed in the wind as if trying to break free
It was so peaceful how it fell to the ground
However so softly and without a sound
