...You Ever Never Knew by Billy
|
How many times the story you tell, the one you know so very well.
So many ears have felt it's weight, a bleeding heart, untold hours kept
up late. A wretched tale of a youth lost, a victim then and now, we
all wish you the peace of mind you search somehow.
You often complain of the men you date, the things you hate and how
lonely your fate. Faith washed away, lost hope and trust, in your
walls of protection you hide as a must. The glass of your shelter, the
fruit of safety your numbing helper, the tears, the lies, ciaos, insane
inaudible cries.
Find your peace, leave me be. It's been heard and it's been said,
sadly now my love for you shriveled and dead. The calls once left not
unanswered will ring on threw, clearer now my take on you. Believing I
was actually the one too good for you, having the greatest man you
ever never knew.
