In each other’s arms they will spend forever and a day
I will get a glance at their shimmering domain
Of course, together they will walk away
Leaving on my eyes an eternal stain
They will grow old leaning on each other
I will teach my feet to stand on their own.
Stumbling with their perfection they’ll support one another
I’ll gather my flawed fragments from being viciously thrown
They will get their happily ever after
I will watch with a blurry view.
The movie will end with ringing laughter
But I won’t forget those with whom I grew
This fairytale vision will suddenly be clear,
We can step into the world without any fear.
